Your website is finally on point and live. You’ve joined all the right Facebook groups and are starting to gain traction there and on Instagram, but now what? Well, what about Pinterest? Just how can Pinterest help you gain clients and improve your business?
What Is Pinterest All About?
Pinterest is an image sharing and social media platform, but it’s more than that. It’s an AHmazing tool to get you in front of your Ideal Client, lots, and lots and LOTS of Ideal Clients. It’s a visual search engine, but you have to know how to use it right to make it work hard for you.

How Does Pinterest Get You in Front of Your Ideal Clients?
Pinterest uses graphics called “pins” to appeal to your Ideal Client visually. Images can be pinned directly from the good ole’ interwebs, or you can custom create a pin with your branding information on it to share to your boards and to Tailwind Tribes (To get a free 30 day trial month at Tailwind and believe me, you’ll want one, click HERE).
These pins are created to appeal to your target audience, and they are “pinned” to the boards of people who like them. Say Mikayla sees your pin on a quartz crystal drinking tumbler you pinned from your store and falls in love. She pins it to her board, “Things I Love.” Mikayla has 234 followers for that board, and 116 of them see that pin and fall in love, too. They pin it to their boards, and some of their followers will pin it to their boards, and then some of their followers repin it and so on.

Of all these people pinning your fabulous crystal tumbler, some of those will be clicking on through to your website and even buying it. Can you hear the dollar signs adding up? Cha-ching, cha-ching, cha-ching? It’s one of the best sounds ever, right? Right below angels singing, babies laughing, and “I love yous” from your loved ones.
Getting them to your website also gets some of them signing up to your list, allowing you to retarget them leading to more happy little dollar signs. (cue music for the happy dance)
But How Does Pinterest REALLY Work?
So that’s how Pinterest works in theory, but we all know with social media, there are algorithms keeping things from being simple. You have to feed those scary dragons to stay alive. Right? Well, Pinterest is a little more straightforward than Facebook or Instagram IF you understand the rules.
I have this really great free Pinterest Challenge that can help get you off on the right foot and make things so much easier on you. Everything is complicated if you don’t know what you’re doing. But having an informative challenge to make things fun and exciting can make all the difference in the world. You can sign up HERE for free. You’re going to love it.
It helps you get a better grasp on what Pinterest is about and how it can work for you. You’ll learn about keywords, image building, boards, how to optimize your bio, and more. It’s chock full of helpful information that can kick off your Pinterest account in the most positive of ways. You don’t want to miss it.

Is Pinterest a Dream Come True?
Pinterest may not be the answer to your prayers, but it might be if you are asking for more traffic and more sales or clients. Pinterest can improve your business. There’s no doubt. Because each pin is a direct link to a product, lead page, or website, and people are there specifically looking for what you are offering, you will get results.
Yes, you have to know the rules and work at them. Yes, you have to make your pins enticing, so they don’t get lost in the scroll, but it is a lot easier to get that click-through than on Instagram or even Facebook, whose algorithm hates outside links.
So if you want to learn more and are ready to get the party started, my Pinterest Challenge starts October 26th. Sign up today!!!
